The day DJ Manipulator got his hands on a pair of turntables, his life changed forever.  Born in Long Island, NY the son of an artist father and a hard working mother, Jonathan “DJ Manipulator” Montumer  was destined to be a force to be reckon with. “I remember back in the days, my father would play all types of music when he would paint. He was a huge factor in me falling in love with music”.

Around 1994/1995 Manipulator was exposed to hip-hop music by his older brother and he found himself a new passion in life.  From that day on he knew that he would someday contribute to the culture.  In 1997, Manipulator’s family packed up and moved to Marlborough, MA. Throughout the years in Marlborough, Manipulator kept learning more about the culture and tried to be involved in all the elements. After giving up on emceeing, breaking, and graffiti, Manipulator got a job in 2002 and saved up his money to buy his first set of turntables, which eventually lead him to start making beats.

Manipulator has worked on a number of projects and has done shows all across the east coast.  He collaborated on the “Kill Ugly Remix” with Hoverock’s PFM and produced half of Nite People’s second album “What Do You Mean You People?”.  He’s also released several mixtapes and performed with underground hip-hop legends such as M.O.P, Cage, El-P, Copywrite, Joe Budden, and more.  There’s no stopping this kid.  Be on the look out for more projects from Manipulator with his partners in crime Paul Mighty, E The Real, and Spit Supreme. “2010 is gonna be one hell of a year!”.  www.myspace.com/djmanipulator

My name is Ethereal Plains. Many call me E The Real because it’s simple and plain. I am arguably one of the hardest working MC’s in Boston. I’ve released a large number of projects throughout my career.  I started recording my lyrics before the days of Pro Tools.  Some of my music you might have heard, some got lost in the blogosphere.  I have shared the stage with legends, and gained recognition from your favorite publications.

I am always working on a handful of new material. My catalogue is deeper than your mother’s purse.  I’m all about progression. If your familiar with my work, you will see the changes musically and in my writing.  As an artist, it’s your job to grow and develop.  If I sounded the same as I did back in 03′ I might as well quit.

I was born in Worcester, MA.  After graduating high school I moved to New York City where I developed my style as an artist.  My experience in NYC was highly influential both personally and musically.  Residing in the Bronx at the time, I found himself emerged in the culture while connecting with alot of different people.  I moved backed to Massachusetts after a period of time and took the lessons I learned to create a new spirit of Hip Hop in my hometown.  My first solo album was in 2003 called “The Overwhelm”.  Extremely rare.  If you listen to that album you will notice a significant difference in my style.  This was the beginning which eventually lead to where I am now.  Shortly after I moved to Boston to attend business school where I earned my bachelor degree in Business Management.  Music never stops because I am constantly inspired by what goes on around me.

I’ve have been releasing my music independently since 2003.  Self funded, self promoted, and self determined.   A prolific writer, graphic designer, label founder, wine connoisseur (for real), and a true Hip Hop fan. Born and raised in the small city of Worcester, Massachusetts, Paul Mighty has become a product of many environments. “My grandfather owned one of the oldest bars in the city. My father ran the show as bartender/manager so my brother and I spent a lot of time there as kids, running around while my father handled business.” It was at that establishment where Paul was first exposed to some of the greatest music ever recorded. “Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, you name it and it was in the jukebox at some point. I remember when my father would take my brother and I to flea markets to purchase new 45’s for the bar. While we were off, drooling over sports cards and comic books, my father would be going through stacks of 45’s, searching aimlessly for tunes to please his customers. I guess the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree!” Years later, Paul can be found in similar environments, digging through stacks of vinyl with his brother Kenny, and close friend DJ Manipulator.

Paul has had the privilege of being involved with many music projects in 2009. To start the year off, he and long time friend Frank “The Butcher” Rivera started “The Butcher’s Block”, a website dedicated to different forms of independent arts and interests. Paul and Frank began recording a series of podcast shows which featured a variety of different music. The aim of the show, as Frank words it, was to “Talk shit, play joints, and put people on!” Together, the pair released several podcast shows on a biweekly basis, receiving great feedback from listeners all over the country. Later, they completed a mix project featuring music from Spit Supreme, E The Real, and many others for a Nike sneaker release at Concepts in Cambridge, MA.

Paul’s focus, as of late, has been completing numerous projects with the Kinda Dusty artist collective. Future releases include all new music from Spit Supreme and E The Real, as well as countless joint ventures between Paul and fellow producer DJ Manipulator. Louie Gonz (Luis A. Gonzalez Jr.), formerly known as Spit Supreme, was born on September 8, 1985. Raised in the streets of Worcester, Massachusetts, he first began listening to hip-hop at the age of twelve. “I remember saving up whatever money I had at the time to buy my first pair of Gemini direct drive turntables. See, my father was a DJ back in the late 80’s. He would play records at local house parties, spinning tunes as ‘DJ Master Touch’, I guess you could say that’s where my love for music began.”

As time passed, Louie would develop a passion for spinning 12 inch hip-hop singles, practicing mix routines, and recording mixtapes. When it came time to upgrade his equipment however, funds became an issue and he was forced to find another way to involve himself in the culture that had become such a large part of his life. It was this point in time where “Spit Supreme” emerged. “During middle school and high school I wrote a lot of poetry. I wrote a lot for class assignments, but it would always spill over into an everyday activity.” Once Lou began transferring his thoughts from poetry to written lyric, he would never look back.

After years of hard work, trying to develop a writing and recording style and persona, Louie began releasing numerous projects as part of the hip-hop group “Personal F.O.U.L.” Later, he would release a solo album titled “Whole Life For This” under Rawkus Records as part of the “Rawkus 50″, which was an effort by the label to expose some of the best new artists of 2007. Louie would increase his following after the album release and go on to later release 2 mixtapes titled “Quickstrike 1″ and “Quickstrike 2″. After going through numerous life experiences and changes, maturing every step along the way, Louie decided to part with the name “Spit Supreme” to continue his career as “Louie Gonz”, a nickname that has been with him since childhood. To date, Louie has numerous ventures in the works, including a album titled “Slave to the Game”. Louie is looking forward to working with Kinda Dusty to create a catalog of quality and timeless music, enjoying every given moment along the way.  http://soundcloud.com/louiegonz
